The Institute is registered under the Ministry of Education, Afghanistan and offers separate academic diploma programs for high school and college graduates in Nutrition and Home Economics. It will offer the following programs; Two-year Associate Degree in Nutrition Two-year Associate Degree in Home Economics One-year Advanced Professional Diploma in Nutrition for university graduates

Our vision is to serve the nation to live a healthy, dynamic and prosperous life by eliminating the health risks associated with different stages of life and unhealthy behaviors through enhanced knowledge, skills development and effective interventions in nutrition and home economics
Our Mission
The Institute will strive to expand the knowledge and skills in the field of nutrition, food science and home economics using advanced learning tools and methods, carry out scientific research and support the government to build human and organizational capacity in the field.
Our Objectives
The Institute’s efforts will be focused to achieve the following objectives. Academically train individuals to work as dietitians, nutrition counsellors, community nutrition educators, food safety specialists, Food Services administrators and home management experts.
