Our Academic Institute

We aim to address Afghanistan’s critical health and nutrition workforce gaps through focused academic training and research

Afghanistan Institute of Nutrition and Home Economics

The Afghanistan Institute of Nutrition and Home Economics, an affiliate of AINHE-O and registered separately as an academic institute in Afghanistan, strives to build a capable workforce within and beyond the institute to guide policies and programs tackling hunger and malnutrition in Afghanistan. By uniting nutrition experts and academics, we provide diploma and certificate programs designed to enrich the expertise of both emerging and established professionals in the nutrition field. The Institute aims to advocate for and implement academic training programs in nutrition, a crucial and unmet gap in Afghanistan, and promote and conduct context-based research, to address capacity gaps and inform policies and interventions in nutrition.
